Bangor vs Portadown
Bangor will be looking to continue their recent improvement when they welcome Portadown to Clandeboye Park.
The Seasiders have collected encouraging results in recent weeks, including draws against Glentoran and Ballymena, while Lee Feeney’s side have shown signs of becoming increasingly competitive.
Portadown finally picked up their first point of the season against Linfield on Tuesday night, with Ben Kennedy’s late penalty securing a 1-1 draw.
David Jeffrey’s side will now look to build on that result and get their first victory of the campaign.
Carrick Rangers vs Larne
Carrick Rangers face one of the toughest tests in the division when defending champions Larne arrive at Taylor’s Avenue.
The Amber Army earned a point against Ballymena on Tuesday despite playing part of the game with ten men, continuing a solid start to the campaign.
Larne, meanwhile, have won four consecutive league games since their return to domestic action, including Tuesday’s 2-0 victory over Cliftonville.
Gary Haveron’s side have quickly established themselves as one of the main challengers to Coleraine at the top of the table.
Cliftonville vs Glentoran
There is an added storyline at Solitude this weekend after Cliftonville boss Jim Magilton rejected an approach from Glentoran.
The Reds boss has committed his future to the club, meaning the focus now returns to the pitch as Cliftonville look to respond to Tuesday’s 2-0 defeat to Larne.
For the Glens, attention turns to life after Declan Devine and the search for his successor. They arrive at Solitude after Tuesday’s dramatic 2-1 defeat to Coleraine and will be looking to give their supporters something to cheer about.
Dungannon Swifts vs Ballymena United
Dungannon Swifts will be looking to bounce back when Ballymena United visit Stangmore Park.
Rodney McAree’s side enjoyed an excellent start to the season but have now suffered consecutive defeats against Linfield and Crusaders.
Ballymena were held to a 1-1 draw by Carrick on Tuesday and will be looking to return to winning ways after their dramatic 3-2 defeat to Coleraine last weekend.
Both sides will see this as an opportunity to add another three points to their early-season totals.
Linfield vs Crusaders
Linfield welcome Crusaders to Windsor Park looking to get back to winning ways.
The Blues’ five-game winning run came to an end on Tuesday when they were held to a 1-1 draw by Portadown, although David Healy’s side remain firmly in the title picture.
Crusaders, meanwhile, returned to winning ways in emphatic fashion with a 3-0 victory over Dungannon.
The visitors will face a difficult task at Windsor, but will arrive with confidence after that midweek result.
Coleraine vs Limavady United
The day’s final game sees league leaders Coleraine welcome an in-form Limavady side to the Showgrounds.
Ruairí Higgins’ team maintained their unbeaten start on Tuesday with a dramatic 2-1 victory over Glentoran, with Lewis McGregor scoring deep into added time.
Limavady, meanwhile, have transformed their start to the season with back-to-back victories, following up their win over Crusaders with a 3-1 victory against Bangor.
Jamie McGonigle’s first-half hat-trick was the highlight of Tuesday’s win, but the Roesiders face a huge test against the league leaders.
