Annagh United 4-2 Rathfriland Rangers
Annagh United picked up their first points of the season with a convincing win. Craig Taylor and James Carroll put them 2-0 up inside 23 minutes, before Alberto Balde and Taylor again made it four shortly after half-time.
Brian Johnston and Reece Doyle pulled two goals back for Rathfriland, but it wasn’t enough. The visitors remain without a point after two matches.
Ards 2-2 Dundela
Ards were unable to follow up Saturday’s impressive victory as they were held by Dundela. Matthew Ferguson gave the visitors the lead early in the second half before Connor Maxwell levelled, only for Benny Igiehon to restore the Duns’ advantage almost immediately.
Kielan Reid equalised with just under 10 minutes remaining. Ards had a late penalty appeal turned down after Eamon Scannell went down in the box.
Institute 1-2 Ballinamallard United
Ballinamallard United came from behind to claim their first points of the campaign at the Brandywell. Institute were reduced to 10 men when Danny Hawe was dismissed in the first half, but Caoimhin Porter still put the hosts ahead in the 68th minute.
Daniel Barker then struck twice to complete the turnaround and give Ballinamallard a valuable away victory.
Loughgall 2-2 Newington
Newington raced into a two-goal lead at Lakeview Park as Aodhfionn Casey struck twice inside the opening 20 minutes. Loughgall responded through Darragh Stewart, who scored either side of half-time to bring the hosts level.
Both sides were reduced to 10 men late on, with Fra McCaffrey and Joe Tully dismissed. The point leaves both teams on four points from their opening two games.
Moyola Park 1-3 Strabane Athletic
Strabane Athletic claimed an impressive away victory at Moyola Park. Sam McClintock scored twice inside the opening 25 minutes before David Parkhouse pulled one back for the hosts before half-time.
Sean McCallion restored Strabane’s two-goal advantage on the hour mark, with the visitors seeing out the remainder of the game to secure their first win.
Newry City 1-4 Glenavon
Glenavon bounced back from their opening-day defeat in emphatic fashion, running out 4-1 winners away to Newry City. Ryan Waide put the visitors ahead early before Pablo Andrade levelled for Newry.
Paddy Burns restored Glenavon’s advantage after the break, before Waide completed his hat-trick to give the Lurgan Blues a much-needed first victory.
Queen’s University 2-1 H&W Welders
Queen’s University made another impressive start, racing into a 2-0 lead inside 16 minutes through Michael Withers and Matthew Hughes. Jack Reilly pulled one back for the Welders, but the Students held on for another three points.
Queen’s now have four points from their opening two matches, while the Welders suffered their first defeat.
Warrenpoint Town 2-0 Armagh City
Warrenpoint Town picked up their first points of the season with a comfortable victory over Armagh City. Michael Leddy was the difference, scoring twice to secure all three points.
It was a welcome response for Warrenpoint after their opening-day defeat, while Armagh remain without a win after two games.
